Manuscripts of published and unpublished novels, stories, poems, plays, and critical articles, correspondence, mystery magazines with stories by Snow, and other papers, relating to his career including his affiliation (1930s) with the New York "rebel poets" and activities as contributor to New Masses, Daily Worker, Anvil, and other leftist publications, co-editor of Anvil with Jack Conroy, organizer for American Newspaper Guild and American Labor Party, writer of mystery stories, and journalist for various New York, N.Y., and Willimantic, Conn., newspapers. Correspondents include Walter Carman, Jack Conroy, and Granville Hicks.

Walter Snow was an American radical writer and poet. Snow contributed to many radical periodicals including American Dialog, Left Review, The Rebel Poet, and New Masses, and wrote a collection pf poetry entitled Glory and the Shame . He served as editor of The Anvil, "the proletarian fiction magazine," from April 1935 to October 1935.
